Located in South Central Kansas area in multiple Centers of Excellence (COE), the Advanced Miniaturization technology programs will create higher skilled jobs in technology sectors that attract new residents to the state and provides diversification of the state’s economy from the traditional agricultural and aerospace sector. The technology programs being planned in the Miniaturization COE will serve to facilitate the commercialization of miniaturization technologies and intellectual property being developed. The COE programs have the potential to be a tremendous impact on the local and state economy and are already producing significant private investment to help Kansas be well positioned to provide important partnerships and investments with federal, state and local government as well as the private sector.
